Facebook Your Dinner!
by Dianna Sharpe Buff, Sweet Tomatoes Cafe
I have recently found Facebook. Wow! Old friends I have not seen in ages, Family that I never seem to have the time to call, they are all on here! 15 minutes and you have a wealth of catch up. This is better than a soap opera!
I love the pictures, seeing friend’s children, spouses, and how they themselves look now. Even their pets! We just added a new Pug named Bella to our brood, so she is currently my status pic! It is just fun.
One of the most interesting things I have found is that women love to post what, where and how they are having for dinner. "Went to the Sweet Tomato for lunch, awesome soup!" "Took the kids to Cream Valley for Hot Dogs and custard!" "Had roast chicken, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner! Followed by homemade strawberry shortcake!" This is the most fun. Gives me different ideas, and even though I cook every day, it is fun to get new ideas. One facebooker actually takes pics of her recipes and posts them, so you can “follow” her meal to make it yourself. Pretty cool.
I am sure like everything else, this is a fad, and may pass. But for now, in my few spare 15 minutes, you will find me facebooking away. And today, here’s what we are having for dinner!!!
