My Artist’s Palette of 2011

Another year gone!

This year, I have taken particular notice of all the beautiful things that I have seen and am putting them on my artist palette.

The first group of colors on my palette are from the many shows that I have attended. The Mummers ’Show of Shows’ with beautiful costumes of feathers and sequins reminded me of a brilliant rainbow. Other shows that gave me a variety of colors were: "Lord of The Dance," The Gaither Vocal Band, "Joseph." More colors have come from the country music shows that I have seen. Some of the best colors have come from the Christmas shows with beautiful music and singing for this wonderful season of the year.

Other colors on my palette have come from the magnificent sunsets across the St. Lawrence River, the beauty of the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire. Not to be forgotten in this color scheme are the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains and the beauty of alpacas and giant clydesdale horses.

One does not have to travel far to see beautiful colors of the spring, summer and fall flowers, flowering shrubs and fall foliage. Just notice the morning and evening paintbrushes that have been given to each of us as we look at the sunrises and sunsets of colors that God has given to us. Recently, I have just been delighted to see these skies that are truly the best colors in my paintbrush.We should all take time to see the beauty that "He" has given to each of us.

My one wish for 2012 is for everyone to have an artist palette and find their own paintbrush of travel whether near or far from home.

"Travel is the Perfect Freedom" that we have all been given in this great country of ours
and we wish to Thank the men and women that protect us so that we may have this right!
Traveling gives us the opportunity to appreciate the beauty of all God’s creations!
