This 1846 charming historic building located in historic Salem City, NJ, was once the home and harness shop of John G. Thackeay. Many of the authentic architectural details remain intact on all three floors of the shop, now filled with antique furniture and china. The Rooster Crows Gift Shop offers a unique selection of country, antique and Victorian home accessories, fine art crafts and collectibles.

Sweet Hannah Rose Tea Room is located inside The Rooster Crows Gift Shop and features two tea rooms and all of the warmth of home! On the first floor, we can accommodate 12-14 guests in our country charm tea room. The second floor tea room can comfortably seat 12 guests and features an original white marble fireplace.
